We were up early as the bus was picking us up at 8.40am, we'd had breakfast and sat waiting. A mini bus came and there were only four seats left so we were hoping this wasn't the bus that was going to take us all the way to Phnom Penh. Luckily we were taken to a bus station just outside Siem Reap where we got off and onto a coach where we had seat numbers, not that it mattered because there were loads of spare seats. James and I had a set of seats each to spread out on, the air con wasn't great but hey at least it had it. We set off on our six hour journey it wasn't so bad, we were supposed to get two stops but he did only one half way through but that was much better for us. When we got there it was the same as usual the bus went to the bus station and then you are expected to pay for a tuk tuk from there. This was one place non of us had had time to have a look at before hand so we really didn't know where we wanted to be. We looked at the map and asked one of the tuk tuk drivers where all the guesthouses were, he pointed to a road not far from the river. We decided to head for there and hopefully find a cafe of sorts with wifi to have a proper look. It was the same price to get two tuk tuks to take us as squeezing into one so we went for two. The traffic is pretty crazy in Phnom Penh not quite Vietnam crazy but close! They dropped us off on the street and there were loads of places we could get a drink and use the wifi, so we plonked at a place and started to look. Sam and Steph also went up and down the road asking prices and seeing some rooms. After it being so hot in Siem Reap we really wanted air con again. They came back and said they'd found somewhere only next door to where we were sitting. They did say though that we'd definitely have to have a look at it though and it was only a fan room. We had a look, there were two small wall fans and it looked liked someone's converted garage, it was the smell though that I don't think I could handle for the three days we're here. We decided not to stay there, Sam and Steph are on a tighter budget than ours so we said if they wanted to stay there we would find something else close by. We all decided to carry on looking to try and get somewhere together. We found a place on the Internet which was a little walk away. James said he'd find it and ask about rooms, when he came back he had good news. They had two types of rooms, fan and air con so it would for both our budgets. We gathered our things and went to go and check in. It was a bit of a climb upstairs to our rooms but we'll only be going up once with our bags on. The rooms were ok, pretty good for the money we are paying. We dumped our things and went straight out for something to eat, it had got to tea time ish and non of us had eaten a proper meal today yet. We found a pizza place called 'Happy herb pizza', as well as normal pizzas they ask you if you want to make it 'happy' by them adding weed to the top. We were all happy enough to be getting pizza. After eating we walked back to our guesthouse and were ready for bed.
