Today we decided to explore the real Berlin and to get more of an idea of the lifestyle in which Berliners live.
We started the day by walking a couple of hours to check out the longest stretch of the Berlin wall which is 1.3km long. It was well worth it! They had all these Artists paint their designs all the way along and they're all so different, crazy and cool, it's just amazing!
Half way along we came across this cool little bar which was situated behind the wall and next to the river Spree. We went on in and they had house music playing with day beds and sun chairs facing the river on sand with a swimming pool in the centre! After spotting this, we decided to take some time out with a couple of drinks, in the sun and what a great afternoon it was!
After our little siesta we continued our walk along the wall until it finished in this little suburban part with all these little restaurants and bars. After walking around exploring it for a while we decided we wanted a traditional German meal for our last dinner so we found this butcher with a restaurant attached where all these locals were eating so we decided on that and what a great decision it was! Wow it was so cheap and sooo yummy!! We then bought cupcakes for desert and wondered the back streets back to our hostel for an early evening as we have an early start to get us to Prague tomorrow...Woohoo bring on Prague!
