the picture is of nelson from the centre of new zealand. the weather here had just started to turn . the first time we needed to get our shoes and coats out. didn't stop us enjoying the place though. it's well known here for wind surfing, not that we did any. a nice big town, with plenty to look at. we stayed at the accent on the park, which is highly reccomended! bran did the walk to the highest point. i'm too much of a couch potato! ha!

a quick round up for now on the north island. we both loved the more central areas as everything from the countryside to the people were brilliant. managed to see things like the hot mud pools and springs to the great lakes to " mount doom " , went rafting and sledging , and we didn't even scratch the surface of what ther is to see and do! if have the chance again would get a vehicle and tour around . that said we managed to see loads and really enjoyed...

well we arrived and it took them 6 weeks to get rid of us! ha!! we had such a good time that it was imposable to tear ourselves away. we were a short ride away from the beach but surronded by beautiful countryside. no beer could be found anywhere , except in the stomachs, ha! noosa was the nearest beachwhich was great with only a short walk around the cove to a small but sheltered beach away from the crowds. we were there so long the locals started to reconise us...
