quick enough flight here, from New Zealand, 3 1/2 hrs.what a beautiful island!

we stayied at the famous Beach House, where they filmed, celebrity love island. we were there for 10 days and were't ready to leave.it's s' tranquil.they do jewellry making, palm leaf weaving, free of charge. the staff are lovely and really helpful. you get free breakfast and afternoon tea and scones! you can also use their kayaks free of charge. they also have other activities for a fair price...horse riding,hill treks. the array of sea life in the shallow waters take some believing...stunning.

they also have a driver for the hotel, who ,for a small fee, will take you into the town.wellworth looking at too! lot's of bargains to be had.avoid buying in the markets though! there are plenty waiting to rip you off there! eg...we had a woman asking us to buy a necklace,(which she said ,was a good price for hand made) for 45 fji dollars, only to go across the road to a rather posh looking shop and the exact same necklace was selling for 6.99 fji, dollars! so be sensible!,and make sure you buy food in supermarkets where the price has to be shown.

you can also visit other hotels and use their facilities.the local buses are really busy, but very reliable,also a good way to mingle with the locals and see different areas.

at the end of your stay, if you have any clothes you can spare, the staff and their families are more than happy to except them. you will always remember your time here!
