first stop,colleroy,1/2 hr from sidney and perfect for just chillin' or learning to surf.not the cheapest of places for eating! one of the beachside cafes wanted 13 dollars for a pancake!manly, 1/2 hr bus ride away is a great place to visit. very clean. great shopping area and beach.also a nice harbour area.blacksmiths beach is 9 miles long and is great for surfing.also alongside the biggest lake in australia.much more reasonable, price wise. plenty of super markets and local shops. a pub just across the rd, that has live bands. blacksmiths backpackers, itself is a lovely chilled out hostel.mick and maria are very laid back and you get a free bbq on fidays.the neighbours are very friendly.a very pleasant place in all.
