Day 9

Our day started with a cab ride into Las Vegas at about 11 o’ clock, the temperature was about 109 degrees which was really hot! We decided to get out at the MGM Grand and have breakfast at the Rainforest Cafe. The hotel is so huge that we had to ask for directions from a man who told us to enjoy our hike. On our way through the hotel we found a lion enclosure which is not the sort of thing you expect to find in a normal hotel. We had a really nice meal in the Rainforest Cafe before leaving the hotel to walk a little further up the Strip. On our way to the M&M Store we saw some guys dressed as Halo troopers (Spartans), Mario & Luigi from Nintendo, some superheroes and two really dodgy looking Elvis Presley’s. Chris kept being given cards with topless women on.
We spent the afternoon looking in and out of all the famous hotels on the Strip including Paris, Caesars Palace and the Venetian. Mum went to the Christian Louboutin shop but couldn’t see anything she liked, Chris was happy. In the evening we went to see Blue Man Group at the Venetian Theatre which was brilliant and we all really enjoyed the show – go and see it if you get the opportunity. After dinner at Serendipity and more shopping we jumped in a cab to head back – it was 1 o’ clock in the morning after all.
