Day 10

Today we headed to the Grand Canyon via the Hoover Dam. We managed to drive straight past it the first time as there is a newly constructed bridge so we had to turn around and drive back again. We stopped for a little while and took some photos of the Dam which is massive, we couldn’t stay long because we had to do a massive drive to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon so that we could go on the Skywalk. This is a glass platform that extends out over the lip of the Grand Canyon and allows you to see straight down through the floor 4000 feet to the bottom. Our journey to the Skywalk was quite scary as there is a long stretch of unmade road that we had to drive down which made everything in the RV fly everywhere. After the Skywalk we had a long drive to the South Rim of the Canyon where we were going to stay, the drive was that long that I managed to watch two and a half movies. Chris was really tired after driving nearly 400 miles in one day so we all went to bed as soon as the RV was set up for the night.
