Day 8
Today we left Castaic quite early for Los Angeles. The traffic was really busy and Chris was worried that he would not be able to find somewhere to park in town. We ended up driving across Hollywood Boulevard near to the Hollwood Bowl and managed to find a massive car park that Chris could park the RV in. We walked from the car park back to Hollywood Boulevard and saw all of the stars on the walk of fame as well as the famous El Capitan and Chinese Theatres where all of the famous actors and actresses have their hand and footprints. I stood in Will Smith and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s shoes, neither of them have spent a day in my shoes!
We bought some tickets for a Hollywood tour and got on an open topped bus which took us up into the Hollywood Hills where we saw some homes of the rich and famous people. My favourite was Jennifer Aniston’s house which has just been sold for $60m+ (!!!!!!) Chris wanted to get off the bus at Christina Aguilera’s house but Mum said that he would have to walk home if he did. Mum liked the house that Michael Jackson died in....? We also went to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills which is where all the really expensive shops are. Mum told Chris that if he wanted to pop back to Christina’s house for a cup of tea while she went shopping that would be OK. We saw a famous designer outside his shop and he waved at us and we waved back. After our tour we went to Hard Rock Cafe on Hollywood Boulevard for dinner before leaving for LAS VEGAS!!!
The traffic was really bad on the way to LV and we did not arrive until well after dark but the drive into town was pretty cool because everything was lit up. After we arrived at the RV park we jumped straight in a cab and went to the Strip. We got out at the Bellagio Hotel which was massive (well all of them were really) and walked all the way to Circus Circus by which time it was shut but as we were all pretty tired we got in a cab and made our way back to the trailer village to get a well deserved rest.
