Day 7
Today we went to Hurricane Harbour which is a water park next door to Magic Mountain. We managed to get some sunbeds right next to the pool which was really cool, I could get in and out when the wave machine started. Once we had sorted ourselves out and I had gone and got myself a huge blue rubber ring we all went on the ‘lazy river’ ride which was quite relaxing but the water was really cold when you first got in. After that we all queued for the Taboo Tower which had three different rides to choose from, Mum chose a ride that had lots of twists and turns, I chose a ride that was called Escape Chute which was like a big dipper, Chris got told to do a ride called Daredevil Plunge which did exactly what it said!! We did another ride before stopping for lunch and then had to make our way back to our sunbeds, it was so hot that I had to wait in the shade while Chris and Mum went back for my flip flops. Mum decided that she needed to do some sunbathing while me and Chris went on some rides called Twisted Fang and Coiled Cobra – I don’t know why.....
While I was in the wave pool an American girl asked me if I’d like to go out with her but I told her I already had a girlfriend in the UK.
The next ride we went on was called the Tornado which was brilliant. We all had to get on a massive inflatable together which sent us down a huge vertical tube into a giant funnel and then down into a plunge pool. It was that good that I made Mum and Chris do it again with me. The last ride we went on was the magic carpets, the first time I struggled to get started and the second time Chris won again – he said he was good, me and Mum said he was just fatter!
We left at the end of the day thinking we would leave for Los Angeles that evening but, as it turned out, we couldn’t find anywhere to stay so decided to have an early night so we could leave the following morning and avoid all the traffic and find somewhere to park.
