Day 6
I woke up really excited today as we were going to Six Flags. Got dressed and ate breakfast in good time to catch a cab for the fifteen minute journey to Magic Mountain. We got there quite early and had to wait for the gates to open but were treated to some entertainment by the staff and some ‘volunteers’ from the waiting crowd. After twenty minutes or so we were let in and made our way to the first ride of the day which was called ‘Viper’. This is the first time I have been on really REALLY big rollercoasters and they are wicked!! Chris loves going on the coasters but Mum is not so good on them – it was going to be a long day for one of us! We went on another ride called ‘Tatsu’ which you sort of hang underneath like a bird and that was really good, with lots of spins and twists and super fast, Mum was a funny colour when we got off so we had to sit down for a few minutes after that one. We tried another ride ‘X2’ which was supposed to be really cool but none of us really liked it, we had a ‘fastpass’ which let us jump the queue which would have taken about two hours, so we were quite lucky really. After some lunch we went on some water rides, Mum insisted that sitting at the back was the driest place to be....luckily the sun was shining and it didn’t take too long for her to dry out. After trying to eat our own bodyweight in ice cream we went on a few more rides; Mum finally admitted defeat and gave up saying that she just didn’t understand why riding rollercoasters was so much fun so it was down to Me and Chris to soldier on and finish all the rides in the park before closing time. The final challenge of the day was to eat a huge plate of funnel cake with squirty cream and strawberries – now I know why the Americans are huuuge! Stagger home to the RV for a well deserved sleep, tomorrow Hurricane Harbour awaits!!
