Day 4 Christchurch, New Zealand
This morning we got to sleep in, yes! After Easter service at the Cathedral, mom decided that we would celebrate my birthday today because tomorrow and Tuesday (my real birthday) we will busy traveling and swimming with the dolphins. Due to the difficultness of bringing presents, mom had everyone write me birthday cards so I would have something to open. It was so much fun opening the cards. Being 12,000 miles away, my family and friends still know how to make me feel special. For dinner we went to the strip again and read all the menus outside to see what looked good. I choose a restaurant by name of "The Boulevard." I got the lamb shanks, mom got the fish of the day, and Aunt Christine got the rib eye. Everyone's dinner was spectacular, and we each tried the others. For desert I had the devil's food cake, which was chocolate cake layered in chocolate mousse with white marshmallowly frosting, vanilla bean ice cream, some other cream stuff, and white chocolate and dark chocolate hearts in the syrup on the side. All the food was delicious. To top it off this older guy came in to play the piano next to our table and started off with "Your Song" by Elton John and played Tiny Dancer on our way out, bazam!
