Our penultimate dinner was the Animation show where you draw your own character that then gets animated into some Disney classics, brilliant! Though I think the girls may have been slightly more impressed with their decorate your own cup cake dessert.
Our time on the magic is drawing to an end, with one sea day to go before we dock in Barcelona there's a mix of excitement for the sea day of Disney indulgence ahead and depression at the thought that today is the last one.
During the day the kids put on a concert in the Walt Disney Theatre with Mickey, a stage, performing, with Mickey? It was all Emerson talked about for the rest of the day. Max immersed himself in the Edge, begrudgingly coming out for lunch and that was about it.
At our final dinner is also the eve of our 17th Anniversary so we received a special little dessert and badges - I'll be wearing mine all around Disneyland in a few days for extra special cast treatment.
After dinner Max straight back to the Edge, while the rest of us went to see "Dreams", a show with all the proper Disney magic in it, I ended up with arms around both Emerson and Gab for most of it. The finale was the characters wishing farewell to all in the lobby.
We were back in the room around 11:30 trying to get Emerson into bed before our early start the next day when Max bursts through the door in tears. I don't mean weeping, but properly crying at the loss of all his new friends from the Edge, they'd all just been exchanging email addresses for the last half an hour. As we left the ship the next morning we stopped every couple of minutes to say goodbye to a new friend someone had made.
So sad to say goodbye, but atleast we have Barcelona!
