We spent four nights in Barcelona. We needed a little break from all of the running from place to place. Barcelona is fun. Bars are open till 7 or 8 am. Nice beach. Outstanding mojitos. And everyone speaks only Spanish. It reminds me of being back in Miami!!!!!!!!
We had to fill our craving for Spanish Food. We ate a lot of Paella, Tapas and Sangria. Although I hated to see that the Sangria that they served us in a couple of places was Real Sangria, which you can purchase at any supermarket in the US.
We went to La Sagrada Familia one day, the Antonio Gaudi cathedral. We spent several afternoons laying out on the beach drinking mojitos. And we spent several days walking the shops and tapas bars down Las Rhamblas. The statue at the end of Las Rhamblas is kind of interesting since it is supposed to show Columbus pointing to the new world; however, he's actually pointing somewhere on the north coast of Africa.
