Brenton Kovacs's Travels
Early start today as we had to get to the airport for our flight to Detroit. It was snowing when we left New York.
We arrived at Detroit on time at 1pm. Grabbed the hire car, a Chevy Equinox SUV. The drive to Niagara took around 4 hours. The Hilton Hotel gave us a room on the 30th floor, so we had a great view of both the American falls and Niagara falls. The hotel room we had was huge. It was a 2 bedroom suite with a huge spa bath.
After a great breakfast we went for a walk to see the falls up close. The hotel was only 5 minutes walk to the falls. The temperature was hovering around minus 13 degrees C. It didnt take long to see the falls, then we headed back to the hotel to warm up.
The next morning we drove to Cleveland Ohio. We are staying with a friend in Cleveland for a few nights. This was great, as we felt like a local rather than a tourist. Gerry showed us a fair bit of Cleveland, and we met plenty of her gal friends how are all into motorcycles.
Our next stop is Chicago

Adrya How absolutely magical - just like something out of a story book. It is so beautiful. I'm glad you could get photos without any buildings in them.
Adrya I had no idea they could build that close to falls like that. Just goes to show the geology must be pretty stable - I hope. It looks like something out of tinsill town - all white and crisp and full of lights. Very pretty but looks very cold. It does look minus 13, Must have been wonderful to go back to your luxurious apartment!
