Brenton Kovacs's Travels
So far i consider that we have been very lucky with the weather. Yes very cold, but beautifull blue sky.
Yesterday we went to the Statue of Liberty. We are one of the lucky ones to have booked far enough in advance to be able to climb to the top of the Statue. This was amazing. Priority check in and jumped the queue all the way. They only allow 6 people at a time to climb the very very narrow spiral staicase. About 350 steps later the view is excellent.
There is not a lot of room at the top, and you are continually banging your head on the metal frame. Had a great time with the friendly staff manning the Statue.
After the Statue we walked to Wall street to get a few pictures of the Bull, then crossed the Brooklyn Bridge. The Bridge is 1 mile long, so it took its toll on my ankle.
The view is brilliant on a clear day.
We have also been to the top of the Empire State building. The view is great. The wind was so strong and cold it was almost unbearable to stand outside for too long.
Central park is not as pretty this time of the year with the trees bare of any leaves. Still a nice place for a walk. The ice skating rink was packed.
Times square is getting more pedestrian friendly now with more foot path space.
Just woken up to blue skys again. About to head down for a very filling breakfast, then off to walk Manhattan.

Adrya Wow - worth the freezing cold to get a glimpse of the view. I imagine Alan took this with the wide angle lense - it certainly does the scene justice.Brenton there is a cream made in Australia called Pain Away - it is used by all the footballers. Judith heard them talking about their fast recoveries from injuries so they could get back on the field without delay. They all use it and swear by it. Judith began using it on her crippled ankles and knee and now has 80% more movement than before plus it gives her a chance to move around more.If you give me the postal address of your hotel in Las Vegas i will get it to you in no time. I know it is at the final stage of your holiday but still best to ease the pain in the leg somewhat so you can enjoy Las Vegas.let me know anyway ASAP.
