Wednesday 5th June Early start - set off from Vis to Korcula at 6am Korcula is quite a way south of Vis- and descriptions are poetic. Natural and cultural heritage, very big island with many villages, dense forests, beautiful beaches. Legend is it was discovered by Greek hero Antenor escaping from Troy. Marco Polo born here ( 13th century), amazing sword dances, and so many other festivals. Has been inhabited by Illyrian, Roman, Croatian, Venetian, Austro- Hung...

Tuesday 4th Left Hvar for Blue Cave - on a very small island Boarded a small boat for the cave - apparently found by a Benadictine monk while out fishing at the turn of the century. The entrance was submerged so he must have been crazy to venture inside. A larger entrance was blasted many years ago - allowing boats to enter - though still very low - we had to crouch down in the boat to get through the gap. My claustrophobia surfaced - but coped

Tuesday 4th Landed on island of Vis ( village of Vis) Went on a bus tour of interesting aspects of WW11- the allied troops used Vis as a military base. Marshall Tito used Vs as headquarters and hideout. The trip over to Komiza was bit hairy as very narrow roads. Village of Komiza was the site for the filming of Mama Mia - unfortunately on islands a few bays around from where we were - so no pics Back on the bus to Vis - dinner of pizza and wine and a beautiful...

Monday 3rd June Set off from Trigor 6.30 am. Heading for Island of Brac town of Bol. Gorgeous - vineyards, pebble beaches, long languid walks. Also found fabulous Mida Italy - clothes were amazing - and yes - we both bought an item - not sure where I will pack it. Obligatory coffee and cske consumed. Only a 2 hr stop. Sunday 2nd June We set off from Split at noon - and had lunch as we sailed. What a life! Headed west to Trogir - a tiny island - 500 metres by 250 metres. We moored right in the village where market stalls were set up all along the wharf.
