OMG 4 days and no blog, its been very busy time. What have you guys been doing while we enjoyed another township and area. After a really long long drive the biggest so far, 7 hrs and only one loo stop for diesel, food and coffee!!! You guesssed it I was bursting when we arrived at our camp site, lucky I had my own ensuite and stayed awhile!!
The journey down was varied in the counrtyside from the big mountain range, to flat beef country to huge agriculture plantations of mango, macadamia nuts, capsicums, tomatoes ( the ones you get in ALDI) no kidding I read the tag!!! to zucchni, ripe pineapples galore. We have been stopping on the roadside markets most of the time and the quality has been good and the price is ok too.
Our camp site here is OK we are the last on the end of a row so a bit exposed!!! BUT this Capricorn coast is fabulous so beautiful. There are so many long long sandy beaches to explore, about 4 different golf courses to play, so many fishing spots to catch that big fish we hope for, that we are considering a much much long stay the next time we are up here. We have been blessed with the most beautiful sunny fresh days that always makes you smile, its great. As I write this the bird songs are numerous and there is a gentle breeze blowing in with a delicious smell of roast lamb, just tempting the taste buds. Yes we are having a roast without Tom Cruise. There is a bush poet at the fire pit this afternoon for an hour or so but I'm dedicated to this blog so I will not be there but if i hurry up I can drop in cos I love a good fire pit and here is a ripper
Mike had a great day by playing golf with some of the guys from the camp area on a resort golf course. Off he went with about 5 others to play a game returning by 2.30 and the bigggest smile on the dial, he loved it. We also manged a lovely long beach walk this arvo too. So much more to do here but we are off in the morning, b***** never mind there will be a next time.
