So after several delays at Heathrow and 13 hours on an aeroplane I finally arrived in Bangkok. Unfortunately due to me not reading any books beforehand I didn't realise that it was Thai New Year and that they celebrate for 3 days by having a giant waterfight and by pouring flour over everybody's face! An oversight that culminated in me arriving at the hotel drenched in water and completely white. Another down sight is that everyone seems to assure me that they are Lioverpool fans and that their favourite thing is the 'Chimpon Lig". On the upside though, the hotel is ok and close to most sights and tomorrow i'm going to visit the floating rivers
