On Monday we said goodbye to our lovely suite in Positano & left for our two segment flight back to Paris. Once again we could not check-in online so arrived at the Naples airport a bit anxious. No problem this time, with even a few empty seats.

Milan to Paris was ok, but Air France made us check our carry-on that everyone else had accepted. It showed up with us in Paris & we quickly found our airport Novatel hotel. A surprisingly good restaurant made dinner & breakfast a pleasure. Our 2-hr window to get thru security was just enough, with about 15 minutes to spare. Interestingly, this was the first body scan we ran into - the rest of Europe likely considers them too invasive.

The long flight was actually ok, but the 6-hr wait in SFO was the killer. After being up about 25 hrs, we both had trouble staying awake. Unfortunately, we missed an earlier flight by about 10 minutes- that would have been better!
