Travel day, but started at a reasonable time & caught the airport bus at 10:30. After being around mountains & hills for a week, Denmark is really flat! Great metro system into the city, but a bit longer than the 8 min they promised to the hotel. Bikes are everywhere - on sidewalks leaning against buildings, some locked, others not, & thick in the bike lanes. It would probably be an adventure to ride with them!
Hotel is old & charming, although bath is odd. Only a 1/2” depression forming the shower area, so everything gets wet! We were prepared for this & brought some thin shower shoes to reduce slipping. Encourages people to use less water & be quick!
Went to a Spanish tapas restaurant for dinner, but couldn’t quite figure out the system so had seafood dinners instead. We expected to just do an assortment, but waiter’s accent didn’t help us understand their iPad menu. As we were finishing up a couple from NC came in & went thru the same thing, only louder. We Americans are just too slow!
