Settled in nicely in our large house on stilts with a white sand long empty beach to walk along. Skippy visited us at dusk...always a bonus...next morning tom went missing , I found him across the lawns at a cottage chatting to four ladies....these ladies were in the cottage fir a week...they only cane from Portland 20 mins down the road....but told us they do this three times a year...bring their sowing machines and sow...and sow....morning till night......they were all good chums and had a good
little " pocket money" earner going for themselves as well as having fun....in the three weeks they came to the rented cottage they creates enough wares to sell . They invited me in and it was an aladins cave of xmas santas and decorations all hand crafted.....they were such a happy bunch....getting nearer to xmas they do three pop up shop weekends in Portland and sell everything.......I had to buy a few bits as they were so captivating.
We left Cape bridgewater Sunday morning and travelled along past yet more vast cattle and sheep stations...satisfying to see so many breed of cows I used to see in U.K. When I was young, sadly no more....and amusing to see two bus loads of Chinese tourist having their photos taken in front of a field of cows...!!!

Bernie How lovely Sue and great to have a Knick knack shopping opportunity.
Mary I love that Sue, who'd have thought you would come across your very own WI in Cape Bridgewater and some Christmas shopping to boot. Just wonderful. I really am enjoying Travels with the Bogans. Oh and happy all Hallows Eve from Bexhill on Sea! xx
