Took in a couple of farmers markets Saturday and Sunday...the same all the worl over eh....
I have made a couple of observations ....this must be the net curtain capital of the world......and also it seems there are a lot of old folk in this region....well ha ha us included I guess but it seemed very " eastbourne.
Set off from Goolwa......took a coastal route, although you couldn't see the see fir the dunes.....travelled four hours and saw hardly any cars......drove along thru white glistening salt flats and vast farm stations.
This is the beginning of the 1000 mile drive towards Melbourne which we are meandering slowly and staying in various places.....
So first stop for three nights is Robe....which has retained all its old heritage buildings and has pure white sands .....staying at an old heritage Inn....the Caledonian.....we have a cottage in its back garden overlooking the beach and bay....I'm currently sitting on an old whicker chair, feet up, typing, listening to the gentle waves hit the beach....it's hot and the wind has at last dropped!!.....well not totally but I'm living in earnest hope!...
