Franchoek....quaint.....spent a super time at the French Huguenot museum....the poor persecuted souls landed at the Cape of Good Hope centuries ago...and settled here..... Became farmers.....those farms are now big wine estates but still keep the original farm name.....all French..... The name Franchoek meant French Corner. Such lovely Dutch Cape barn architecture.....all pristine white washed..they are a delight to see.. So many wineries to visit....one is ...

Tuesday and it's blowing a gale! The last two days we've had two coastal drives in glorious sunshine..... First from the Strand to Cape of Good Hope...via the coast thru various fishing pretty villages....and sadly passing townships that go on as far as the eye can see.... ...there is a vast deep cavern between the haves and the have nots........it's upsetting and humbling. The cape of good hope was called the cape of storms...it's where the Indian Ocean meets...
