So bye bye South Africa.....loved the Cape of Good Hope..loved Franschoek....wish we had stayed there longer....loved Stellenbosch.....loved the plump, ripe Avocados!....12 days.....however it was an uneasy nut to swallow seeing the townships, and such poverty....baracaded security walls with barbed wire in top around houses and estates made us feel unsafe....glad we went but would not go back....

Singapore, after a twelve hour flight, which strangley went by fairly quick....I saw three comedy films that made me chuckle away six hours easily......singapore airlines, had foot rests...so I didn't need my blow up foot rest which tom pulls a face and shakes his head at...but it works!!

We loved Singapore....it was rather hot and steamy but not as bad I think as it could be.....we played tourists and took the red and yellow tour hop in and off buses...pretty much covered everywhere....a full on day......plus a super boat trip from Clark Quay which was a delightful way to see the city...hmm and a bit cooler too!

It's varied districts made it interesting to see, it's so vibrant and clean, .the endless shopping malls became a bit tedious to see,in orchard road but thats cos I'm not a shopper....the hotel was next to a temple and a villa museum where a sweet historian took us around and we now know all about the 1911 revolution against the Chinese Ching dynasty.....well I did, but that was two days ago.....doubt I'd pass mastermind on that topic now!.....we certainly earned our wine and nosh being so busy!.......eating was always a surprise as we never knew what to expect or had a clue at what we were getting...the last night we thought we were having a pork dish but it turned up as a pork dish in noodle soup......it was all so cheap.....everyone was so smiley and warm natured, it made it so pleasing......
