After a long day yesterday it took us a while to get on the bikes and head into Copenhagen this afternoon. It wasn't quite as enjoyable a cycle as we hoped, following the main road into town (albeit on a cycle path) with not all drivers being as careful of the cycle lanes as they should but we eventually made it the 8km to the city and parked the bikes and headed off on foot through the rain to walk up the round tower and Observatory - the oldest functioning obs...

I hadn't really thought about Ikea whilst planning this trip until he asked if we were going to visit the first Ikea... and then we realised that you actually could. Advertised as 'the Nordic region's largest Science centre' I wasn't initially sure whether this would be worth a visit as we have done a lot of science museums but a little more research and it was obviously different. We had a long day yesterday so planned a slow start today and spent the morning on the campsite with the children enthusiastically catching up with various projects until we had to eventually drag them away for a cycle into Gothenburg.... somehow christened Basingstoke-by-the-sea.
