Well the shell is all spruced and looks fabulous. She wasn't supposed to be ready till Tuesday but received a call Monday morning to say she would be ready at 2pm. This instigated a debate. The navigator wanted to pick it up and head straight to Rainbow Beach. The skipper thought this would be too rushed and we should spend the night staring at the shed wall at Gympie. So the navigator drove the rig to Rainbow Beach and completed her first parking of the rig. This resulted in a marriage proposal from an ex fireman who witnessed the expertise. We are very impressed with Rainbow Beach. The park is lovely. Very leafy and wonderful views. The township amazing. Shops everywhere and 2 x excellent bakeries for the skipper. Great old pub with restaurant. Surf club and the beach is amazing. It is easily the longest stretch of beach I have seen with real surf. Lifesavers and you can drive on it too. Not that we will be taking the legs onto the beach just yet. Highly recommend this spot to young and old alike.
