Arrived in Dubai 5am Thursday 24th, busy 5 days planned, Thursday Tailors and Lesley Shopping. Friday, Brunch of course;-) Saturday Hairdressers and BBQ, Sunday See Morsy and Aaron. Monday pack and Tuesday fly home

Thursday 24th. Shower and refresh after the flight, breakfast then off shopping. Plan was for Bob to get a haircut at JLT, failed as Barber does not open until 10, so Metro to Meena Bazar and the Tailors. Picked up Bobs trousers and went to the shoe shop close by. So within the first half an hour, two pairs of trousers, a shirt and two pairs of shoes. We did say it was shopping day. Taxi to Lamcey Plaza which is Lesley's favourite shopping mall in Dubai. 6 tops, a pair of trousers and a swimsuit later, Bob had managed to get a haircut. Then off to Karama, not for us but sister and friend to get two handbags. Success and Bob bought a small carry on case , basically we need one for all the extra stuff we have bought!!! Back to the hotel via the Metro and Subway lunch. Jet lag caught up with us then quick siesta, so awoke around 6 and went for a walk along JBR. Quick Panda Chinese then an early night.

Friday 25th. Up early decided we would walk along JBR beach while it was quiet, a beautiful sunny, typical Day, Friday morning 1st day of the weekend. Bob did the beach sign update and then back to the hotel to get ready for Brunch. Brunch at Legends at Dubai Creek Golf club, great afternoon spent with Di, Mark & Jackie, Pete & Jane and Tony & Brenda. Putting the world to rights and catching up with everyone. A lot of drink and a little food but what we did have was very good. Left at 4.30pm to join the WAFU Brunch boys, old friends from Bob's time mostly Sportsmen he had played football with in the FAA. We joined them at McGettigans in JLT and continued catching up and drinking. Got back to the hotel around 10 relatively drunk. 

Saturday 26th. Lesley off to the hairdressers so Bob sent to get the rest of the shopping for returning to Spain. Back to the hotel around 2.30pm just in time to get a quick shower before going to Justin and Sarah's. Great to catch up and see the girls. Alana is more lady than girl now, Layla as always a complete bundle of energy. Nice to see Mike Wilson who was visiting as well. Great BBQ and a few drinks then back to the hotel.

Sunday 27th. Bob up early as he and Mark are playing Golf at Jebel Ali. Lesley off to meet Di for a catch up and pedicure. Golf was thoroughly enjoyable great to play Jebel Ali again not only a lovely course but playing golf amongst a herd of grazing Antelope is not normal. Played well with my handicap, spot of lunch and a beer with Mark then back to the hotel. Meeting with Aaron at 2pm to finalise our pension decisions, Aaron will get Brooklands to give us a estimation of how it looks based on our discussions today. Evening met up with Morsy for a beer and some dinner.

Monday 28th, Bob off to Eltek to say his good bye's so Lesley went to Ibn Battuta Mall for those final few bits before we fly home tomorrow. Meeting Peter, Mateen, Salman & Sadia this evening then an early night as we have a 4am start on our journey home.
