Quiet day today, we left Elephant island at 4pm last night and now at 10am local time we are 300 nautical miles south of Port Stanley. Co-incidentally the Captain in his morning address told us we were 7230 miles south west of the Burj Khalifa

Wow what a day this has been. Into Schollart Channel at 7am to see our first Antarctic Icebergs. Then all the way through Schollart Channel, Gerlache Strait and into Paradise Bay how the Captain and his team managed to steer a sip of this size around all these Icebergs and growlers I will never know. Sailed overnight along the Gerlache Straits and off towards the South Shetland Islands. Wow, 6am up and awake to see us pass through Magellan Straight to Cape Horn. Blue Skies, No Wind and flat calm sea. We are so lucky, it actually rains here 287 days of the year. We sailed into the Beagle Channel at around 4.30am this morning. We then continued along the Beagle Channel to the Port & Town of Ushuaia which they call the “Town at the bottom of the World” We had an early breakfast and then decided to have a walk around Ushuaia.
