Wow what a long day, up at 4am for the Alicante to Madrid leg. Quick change onto the flight to Buenos Aires. Arrived in Buenos Aires at 6pm local so a 13 hour flight. Then our pick up was an hour late due to a car crash on the airport motorway, so we finally reached the Hilton Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires at 8pm local so midnight in Spain. Booked into Hotel Dona Isobel for an early start in the morning. Have to be at the airport for 0440 so decided to book into the hotel at 3pm. Had a walk along the street, couple of beers and some tostado, Chinese at 7pm then early to bed. Great start to our holiday.

Flight home was fairly uneventful until we reached LHR, picked up by driver to transfer us to LGW. Landed at 1030 and in the lounge at Gatwick, bags dropped off, checked in by 1220. Told at check in flight was on time, sadly it changed two or three times and finally we were an hour late departing. Arrive at Alicante at 2030 rather than 1930. Up early for the flight from Boston to Washington DC. Arrived at 1130, Lyft ride into Town and arrived at the Washington Hilton at 1pm. Unpacked and originally planned a quick walk around the Neighbourhood to get the lay of the land. That didn’t happen!! Arlington Military Cemetery got the vote. Very sad to see in one place the graves of 400,000 American Servicemen & Women. The Kennedy Family are also buried here along with the US Tomb of the Unknown Soldie...

Left Boston in the rain and drove all day in it!! Travelled up though Vermont and saw three covered bridges at Townshend, Jamaica Village and Dummerston. Absolutely fantastic to see.Each one very different, hope to see more whilst we are here. Arrived in Manchester Village at the Equinox Resort at 1pm then off into the Village to get the laundry done. Ate at Mulligans in the evening, Bob had Beef Stew and Lesley Sausage and Mash, real comfort food on a wet day. ...
