Wow, 6am up and awake to see us pass through Magellan Straight to Cape Horn. Blue Skies, No Wind and flat calm sea. We are so lucky, it actually rains here 287 days of the year. For an old sailor like me to get this close to Horn Usland and the Chilean Naval establishment is truly fantastic. The Captain of Celebrity Eclipse got us within a mile or so if the coast. We sat in Blu restaurant having breakfast with the Naval Station as a back drop. Incredible. So now off to Antarctica and what I can only assume will be more incredible sites. Satellite and thus WiFi signals are a bit sketchy down here so maybe out of touch with the blog for a couple of days?? Back soon though. Managed to get access so update, as is, sat through a “Mickylive “ presentation about our entry to Antarctica tomorrow. Sadly it’s a 6.30am start but Micky told us “guaranteed” to see Wales!! Or did he say “Whales?” Whatever we will be up!! Couple of new cocktails in the Martini Bar, got the recipes so will practice then over the summer. Then dinner in Blu, Tuna Carpacio and Swordfish for Bob, Fets & Fig then Filet Mignon for Lesley. Couple of drinks in the Piano Bar on the way “home” then bed before an early start
