What a nice way to wake up on your birthday, in Rio de Janeiro. Beautiful sunny day so plan to go see Sugar Loaf and Corcovado today. Had lots of birthday wishes from friends and family all over the world so a lovely start to the day. Sugar Loaf was fantastic, two cable car rides to get to the top. Once you get there though the views of one of my favourite cities in the world are fantastic. Not only that but we saw Birds of Prey, Marmosets a Monitor Lizard, if we took two cable cars how do they get there?? Back to the hotel for lunch and then off to Corcovado. Unfortunately when we got there the weather meant we could not go up, so rescheduled for Wednesday, hey ho. However when we got back to the hotel great surprise, Birthday cake & a bottle of Cava from the hotel. Very generous and thoughtful. Off out tonight to Giuseppe Grill, had a lovely meal, nice bottle of Pinot Noir and even had a famous Brazilian footballer in the restaurant. What a wonderful day spent with my beautiful wife who I happen to love a great deal
