Hi everyone! Its been a few weeks since I've updated this thing. Sorry! Things have been a little hectic with the trips and project deadlines approaching in school. I've spent the past 2 weekends in Rome, visiting some landmarks and markets and just enjoying the beautiful city that I'm in. I think I'm kind of taking Rome for granted. I'm so worried about seeing all these other countries but Rome is just as amazing as all the others so I need to spend more time here enjoying it. Matt spent his spring break here last week so it was really nice to have someone from home around. Along with Matt came a suitcase of macaroni and cheese and pop tarts so that pretty much made my day. Thanks mom! We spent the week running around Rome and taking in the usual tourist sights. We bought tickets offline to see Roma play Udine in the Olympic Stadium. That was a VERY interesting experience. There's nothing like a soccer game with a bunch of Italians. I'm glad I don't speak fluent Italian though because I don't think I want to know what those guys were screaming at the field during the game. After 2 halves of very theatrical and convincing acting on the parts of the Roma and Udine players, they ended the game at 1-1. Most of that week was a blur because we were going around the city trying to show Matt everything with a whole lot of souvenir shopping in between. After Matt left, we haven't really done that much. We're starting to come up on a lot of our project and midterm paper deadlines from school so a lot of time has to be spent on that. The end of the semester is coming up so fast! I can't believe that we only have about a month and a half left before we come home! The good thing about March is that it is finally getting warm here. You can go out in short sleeves and be completely comfortable. Yay for sundress and flip flop weather! I'm so American.... Anyway, we have our school trip to Naples this weekend. We're leaving Friday morning and will be back late Sunday night. We're getting to see a few cities along the way and they are giving us tickets to the fairies that go to Capri. I've seen pictures of Capri and it is BEAUTIFUL so I'm really looking forward to that. Maybe I can get a tan :)
Spring break is only a few weeks away! Then its off to Udine we go! Grandpa, please have lasagna waiting when we get there! After Udine, we're heading to Vienna, Prague, Munich, and somewhere in Switzerland...but I don't remember where. I guess I should probably look that up, huh? Its going to be here before we know it. I think that's all I've got to say for now. I have to go to the grocery store and be stalked around by the Italian security guard because he always thinks we're going to steal something...must be something about the argyle sweater and pearls that tips him off. Apparently I just scream SHOPLIFTER! Anyway, I hope everything is going well at home! Lots of love from Roma!
