Day started off good. Had a great 3$ breakfast... French toast, bacon and egg sandwich and an iced coffee.

Then went to rent a surfboard. Jumped into the water at about noon and I got almost immediately swept away by the under toe towards the rocks. I've seen and heard of stories about people getting swept out to the rocks and then out to sea so I called for help and a local man came out and struggled but helped me to shore. That was enough to scare me and so my 500 TWD rental became my chair to relax on the beach for the day. It wasn't what I was originally planning but it was good other that moment. I'll go surfing again but that area was in my mind enough that I was done for that area.

While I was eating lunch, I met Flora (Canadian) and Taylor (American) and after I helped them get a scooter because they didn't have international drivers licenses, we went sightseeing. Highlight was on the way back to Kenting when we heard music and followed our ears to a local once a year party. We were not supposed to be there but like most Taiwanese they invited us to food, beer, vodka, beetle nuts, and of course...karaoke! I dint think "Hey Jude" has ever sounded better! It was a great night.
