Taiwan : Touch your heart This was the expression that was all over the country. I was very sad to leave Taiwan this morning. I have lots of great memories from Taiwan. I met some incredible people and that made the experiences for me. I felt a little sick while I was in Kaohsuing so I didn't get to see too much of the city and then I had to stand for 5 hours straight because I had not reserved a seat the day before. Day started off good. Had a great 3$ breakfast... French toast, bacon and egg sandwich and an iced coffee. Then went to rent a surfboard. Jumped into the water at about noon and I got almost immediately swept away by the under toe towards the rocks. Arrived to Green Island on plane. Rented scooter and drove around the island. Saw the green island human rights memorial park. Unbelievable how the prisoners were forced to the island for thinking too much. Many were killed, others did slave labor like smashing coral to make the walls, slept in tiny houses, government tried to make them to stop thinking. Met some people from Canada on the way to the hostel. Ate some BBQ with them, had a few Taiwanese beer, ...

Had a great day walking up the river then jumping off cliffs into the river below. Beautiful scenery and a few beer with Nathan. Had supper at a Canadian's restaurant, then a couple beer watching the ocean and setting off bottle-rockets.
