Hi Everyone
Well, after Uyuni, we went to La Paz. La Paz is a crazy city with lots of beeping taxis and smog and people wanting to sell you things you don{t need.
The bus ride was bumpy but non eventful- we travelled in comparative luxury, movies, food, blankets.
The day we got there was Sunday, and it was also the day of an important election, so we were able to see lots of people marching around the city in traditional dress.
We were pretty tired when we got there, and the main objective was to get the camera fixed, but the shop where you get it done was closed, because it was sunday. So we walked all over town, went to the supermarket to get some food for lunch and tea, then went back to the hotel to cook it.
The afternoon was even slacker, and we went to a movie- Vantage Point- in English with Spanish sub titles.
Then we just went back and watched another movie at the hotel and had tea.
Day 2, there was more action. We took the camera straight down and booked it in, we won{t know the result until thursday. Then we booked our bike ride down The Worlds Most Dangerous Road. With a company called gravity, who lost their first customer a couple of weeks ago. Then we went to the Valley of the Moon, which is an incredible landscape.
After that, we were sitting eating icecreams on a park bench in our sand shoes when a shoe shine came up and wanted to shine our shoes. He didn{t understand the word ¨no¨ on its own, so we had to add a few others, which he eventually got the gist of.
The next day was the most dangerous road- see the entry for Coroico.
