Selamat pagi, Guten Morgen, Goede morgen. It has been a while sinds our last blog entry. After Borneo we flew to Jakarta, where we got picked up by the family where we stayed at in Cianjur (120 km south of Jakarta). We stayed at their house, they cooked for us and we where part of an Indonesian family. We met a lot of locals, heard interesting every day life stories and saw lots and also tasted lots of Javanese food - they really like to fry everything and eve...

We are back in KK (Kota Kinabalu), where we also started our trip through Borneo. We had a great time on Mabul island and are now waiting for our flight to Jakarta tomorrow. In Java we will spend first 3 days at a homestay outside Jakarta at stay/eat with local families which will show us around and we are also volunteering at their program. That will either be teaching english, planting rice or recycling plastic bottles :-) Looking forward to do some useful work...

No Queensday for us this year. No orange, selling the old stuff and drinking too early in the morning. Is this a bad thing, not at all. We just came back from a 3 day 2 nights trip in the jungle around the river Kinabatangan. But first things first. After KL we went to visit a friend, Kim, in Singapore. The trip was excelent, because we traveled in a bus with buisness class seats and we felt like kings, and this just for 8 euro each! The end wasn't that excelent...

Yesterday Niels and I arrived in Kuala Lumpur. That was strange that after a trip of 4 hours in a bus through rainforresty area all of a sudden this big city arrises next to the highway. The last days we spent in Taman Negara, the National Park in Malaysia. It's the oldest one of the world (they say) and the biggest in Malaysia. We stayed at the little village opposite of the main entrance of the park and you have to take a little boat everytime you want to get...

Selamat pangi everybody. After a long trip from Ko Lanta we arrived in Georgetown yesterday. Because of the end of the Thai holiday (new year) it was very busy at the boarder and we had to queue for like 2 hrs to get a stamp to get out of Thailand and another 2 hours to get into Malaysia.
