We are back in KK (Kota Kinabalu), where we also started our trip through Borneo. We had a great time on Mabul island and are now waiting for our flight to Jakarta tomorrow. In Java we will spend first 3 days at a homestay outside Jakarta at stay/eat with local families which will show us around and we are also volunteering at their program. That will either be teaching english, planting rice or recycling plastic bottles :-) Looking forward to do some useful work and get a lot of real Indo experience as we sit in between the locals.

Then we go to Surabaya, where Margreet is studying to visit her, nice! On Sunday morning we go to Baliiiiiii. Looking forward to that also. All nice things to come up, great.

As I was saying Mabul was great. We had a brandnew bungalow on the beach (cleanest room so far), met lovely people, had great food and nice snorkeling. We also did a DSD (discover scuba dive) and had 2 dives on that one day. That was pretty awesome, even though our ears are still 'closed'. It was fun to finally be able to breath under water and of course we did the back roll of the boat. We saw beautiful fish, squids, stingray's, nemo's and even 2 seaturtles! On our last day there we saw another 4 or 5 during our last snorkelling. We followed them for 1,5 hours and they came really close (like half a meter or so) and even came up to the surface to take a a breath. Really cute animal, we were extremely happy we saw them.

Back in KK, tired of all this experiences and traveling we just hang out, doing laundry, watching movies, reading, playing Nintendo (Lies i'm almost at the end of Super Mario!), having foot reflexology massages and will go to the Filipino BBQ market within a sec to choose some nice fish which will be prepared freshly for us.

We heard about the inscitent in Apeldoorn during Queensday, how sad and threatful.

First month over, two more to go!
