Hi everyone, Another quick update although still no piccies. We have figured out that its not the speed of the computer that counts, its the softare they have or in our case don't have to let us download the piccies!! What have we been up to.......we stayed in Nelson (Richmond) for 2 days and there wasn't much to do really. We walked around the town and went for dinner in a nice country pub and watched films, so the usual! We couldn't beleive it, on a Saturday afternoon all the shops shut at 12.30 and the town was like a ghost town, even with the rugby game that was on. We met Stuart for a beer (actually the round was 2 cokes and a soda and lime!) It was good to chat and catch up and swap stories and gossip. We left Nelson on Sunday morning and drove down to Kaikoura which is on the east coast of the South Island. We went on a helicopter flight to go whale watching. It was fantastic and we saw 4/5 sperm whales swimming around. We stayed in a fantastic apartment (we were spoiling ourselves, again!) and watched the final Lord of the Rings with bean on toast, it was heaven! We left Kaikoura early the next morning and drove to Picton to get the ferry back to the North Island. The crossing was about 3 hours. We arrived in Wellington (for those who don't know this is the capital city of New Zealand) and found a motel. Wandered around the city and had some dinner. After all the quiet nights in we put on our glad rags and hit the town. We met Anna (who is in our piccies from Sydney and Melbourne) and went to a few pubs. We even managed to stay out until about 2am! Deb spent the next day trying not to be sick but Ju wasn't as bad. To take my mind off being sick Ju took me shopping, bad move! Headed to the cinema later and watched Million Dollar Baby, good film for those who haven't seen it. Today we (Deb, Ju and Anna) have driven to Lake Taupo and we have booked to do a skydive tomorrow morning, 15000 ft. Will let you know what it was like on the next update. We are here for 2 nights and then heading North again. Not much to report for tonight as cooking in and watching a dvd! I'm never drinking again!
