This was the second day of volunteering and another swelter of a day. We continued with the gardening and finished off the tyres they looked really good. We also continued with the painting of the wall, some finished the fruit and vegetables and on the other wall another group did the World Cup and painted all the flags from the countries who were in the World Cup. Looked amazing!!!! The day seemed to fly in and it was afternoon before we knew it. For lunch we went into the town centre and grabbed a bite to eat and then headed back to the hotel. A group of us found out that there was a yoga class available at the most idyllic setting on the island. So we got a taxi at 5.30pm and it dropped us off right outside. We walked down to where the yoga class was going to take place and it was just absolute heaven, you could see the ocean, you could hear the ocean and there was also peaceful calming music playing in the background. The yoga started off quite easy, to an extent, then it became really difficult. I actually moved and stretched in angles that I didn't think was possible! There were times I just had to sit and watch as I wasn't that flexible, iv never tried to put my foot right behind my head and walk at the same time. The best part was at the end when we had to lie on our backs and the lady put the lights out and all we could hear was the ocean waves, when the lights came back on I actually fell asleep and got woken up by the girl speaking.
After the yoga we then had a meal at the resort which was very cool. There were bean bags and the tables were really low. It was quite fun. Again nice calm music in the background! I had Pad Thai which is a traditional Thai dish consisting of noodles and chicken. It tasted quite good. I also had a really nice fruit shake. We all went back to the hotel afterwards.
