Turns out flying was worth it, after all the bus journeys! The journey was meant to be 70 minutes, but only took 45 and i was back in Thailand! Got a taxi to Kho San road and went straight to a travel agents to book a bus to Kho Phagnan and ten minutes later i was on it, in the last seat avialble, middle of the back row between two couples! fun! We arrived at 5.30 this morning and the ferry terminal and arrived on the island at 11am. Found a cheap guest house, where i have my own bungalow, a hammock on my front porch and when i walk down off the porch i am on the sand! The bungalow isn't great but the view in the morning and at sunset will be! I hired a amotorbike and scooted back down to the port fro a wander around the town there, then over to Haad Rin sunrise beach which was beautiful. All the beaches here have pure white sand and clear water but this beach was covered in thousands of white tourists! So busy, with beach footie going on down one end, and the party getting started the other! Spent a little time on the beach but even at 4pm it was still scorching! Had another scoot around, the roads are very hilly but there are no cars around so its fun! Really liking the island its so beautiful and sunny and has a great vibe- good place to top up the tan before i return after the unexpected English sunshine!
