Arrived in Napier today on the intercity bus. Napier was completely destroyed by a major earthquake in 1930 and the city was rebuilt with the aid of architects in an art deco style so there are lots of interesting buildings to look at including an art deco macdonalds! went for a walk around, its quite a compact town but with everything you could need. Having another quiet night in the hostel and back on the bus to Auckland tomorrow
