I arrived in Wollongon on tuesday evening and was met by Gwen and bill at the coach station. Spent the evening chaatting and lokoing at photos from 1993! I think i am staying in a hotel they have a lovely apartment in a complex which has a golfcourse overlooking the beach, a swimming pool, a restauraunt and anything else you may need! We started wednesday with a very early morning, and then drove up the coast towards Stanwell park and Standard point. There was a bridge which went out over the water and there were some fantastic views on the drive over the sea and many beaches,. We came back for lunch and a tour of the facilities and then i went for a wander down to the harbour and back along the beach, finally outting my feet in the sea! we had a wonderful dinner with home baked cake and desert wine. Yesterday the day started even earlier with an 8am wake up, but it did mean that we got to make the most of the sun which has eventually come out! we drove south this time through port Kembla, Kiama, Gerringong and Gerroa and then inland to Berry. had an amazing lunch at the Fisherman's club in Gerroa of a massive seafood platter for three with everything you could possibly imagine including lots of fruit! Views from the restauraunt of the seven mile beach were great! Found lots of little shops selling gifts and home furnishings and one sold birthday cards for every single age which was quite fun! On the way back we went to see the Steelworks which are a massive part of Wolongong and the little tug boats which pull the ships in. Had a nap when we got in and a lie in today so i feel well slept!
