Day One in London started with Mass at Westminster Cathedral at 8:00am followed by a good look around the Cathedral and precinct. We walked around the block and saw where Sir Winston & Lady Churchill lived in the 1930's.
We took the Tube from Victoria Station to Holland Park Station to meet up with Liza, Aaron & Taggi for lunch followed by a walk through the Notting Hill Carnival - the annual celebration of Carribean food and music.
We all took the bus to Southbank (on the way, passing the Queen's backyard!) across the Thames from the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben near the London Eye which is only a short stroll from our hotel.
We have been in awe of some of the historical landmarks - Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Hyde Park.
Early night tonight as we prepare for any early start tomorrow for our train trip to Paris for the day.
The day started drizzly and cool but turned out to be really nice and sunny.
