Our body clocks are still not adjusted as we woke at 3:00am. Following breakfast at Traders Hotel we headed to the airport for our onward flight to London - 5,504 klms.

Arrived London at 6:30pm local time -which means we are now 9:00 hours behind Australia - no wonder our body-clock battery is flat! London greeted us with its infamous weather - grey sky and steady drizzle.

The drive from Heathrow to London City took us through or past areas with names that were familiar - Knightsbridge, Buckingham Road, Big Ben, Pimlico, Fulmers Brewery, Elephant & Castle.

Checked into the Park Plaza Riverside which is just across the river from the Houses of Parliament. We had a quiet night, a glass (or more) of $14/litre duty-free Captain Morgan and French Brandy. We recharged in preparation for a day at the famous Notting Hill Carnival with Liza, Aaron & Taggi tomorrow.
