Back in Perth we were fortunate enough to be able to stay at Dave and Marnie's. God was it nice not to have to stay in a hostel for a few days?!They were great hosts - drinks in Fremantle finished by karaoke one night, a true Aussie BBQ the next (complete with Ali getting his chest waxed), followed by a lovely roast dinner! Hmmmmm!In between all this eating, we managed a (very) quick day trip over to Rottnest Island where we saw a few Quokkas (the cute marsupials that live on the island) and checked out a few of the many beaches. It would have been nice to stay overnight and do a bit of cycling but Ali's knee and ankle injuries still haven't healed after his sandboarding accident!
