They call it paradise....I wouldn't go quite that far! Yes it's got some nice beaches etc but so have a lot of other places in Thailand.
There are however, lots of beautiful-looking people. Too many in fact! The number of well-built, toned men is far too high (not that I'm jealous). How Ali and I were allowed to set foot on this island is a mystery....I'm still waiting for the Ugly Police to come along and take us away!!!!

Our time here was VERY relaxed - in fact, we did Sweet FA the whole time we were here!! What is it about being near a beach that makes you think "I really can't be arsed to do ANYTHING"?!

We did manage (between admiring the many MANY georgous women and listening to endless Bob Marley tunes being pumped out of every bar and cafe) to watch some Thai boxing which was most entertaining! We had several knockouts (see video clip) and even had an English bloke competing......needless to say he lost! (One of the bars also has it's own boxing ring and encourages drunken idiots to fight each other, all in the name of entertainment. Indeed, it was entertaining watching two girls beating the crap out of each other. The next fight, between two guys, resulted in a knockout which proably shook the audience more than it did the 'victim' - in fact I don't think he knew where he was when he finally came round)!!!!!

We also managed a trip to Phi Phi Ley (where they filmed The Beach) which was OK - it's a pretty popular trip which meant there were boats everywhere. It wasn't too bad in the island itself though as only the small boats can get to shore, so it was quieter.

We came quite close to buying a bar here - a sports bar was for sale!! Run by a couple of English guys, they 'only' wanted 9 million baht for it (that's about 140 grand to you or me)! We went there a couple of times, got friendly with the crazy (and teeny tiny) barmaid and played Connect 4 (they LOVE playing Connect 4 and are very good at it)!
