Today was the first day we headed into New York, we woke from a really good nights sleep to the free breakfast, which was really good compared to what we had had before. So after the events of the night before, we checked out of Riviera and set off for Edison, a few miles down the road. We were planning on staying in a Quality Inn, nicer area, free breakfast, and no drug abuse. So we went across town about 4 miles, after many wrong turns, and eventually found our way to the Hotel. We deliberated for a long time about how we were going to stay as close to New York as we could without having to pay too much for accommodation or public transport, I had already decided that Dora wasn't going into NYC. We were not driving into the Big Apple. So we made the decision after having Cinnarolls for breakfast to stay in Newark, New Jersey, because it was close and a reasonable price. Today, before our slog of a drive to Harrisburg, 6 hours away, we visited the German Village in Columbus. This was after we had posted another postcard back to Marie's dad, who requested them based on the fact that he doesn't have whatsapp, and therefore felt left out. Today, we had the leftover doughnuts for breakfast, the diet is getting worse, before driving into Indianapolis having stayed at a camp about 20 miles East of the city. This meant it was only a short drive to the White River State Park, home to a few museums and a few acres worth of art, all spread out on a park with a canal flowing through the middle. It made for quite the scenery, We parked below the park, for quite a lot cheaper than Shedd aquarium I might add...
