Today we woke up in our luxury room excited, we extended our stay so that we didn't have to check out of a hotel and check in to another one, losing the daytime. That meant we had all day to enjoy the facilities, we went downstairs for breakfast and went to the buffet restaurant, naturally. You paid a lump sum and you got an all day pass to have buffet all day, so we did that and the breakfast was phenomenal. We had eggs benedict, chocolate pancakes, hash browns, ice cream, sausages and so much more. Also not necessarily in that order. There was so much choice, so I settled in for 4 plates while Marie had 3. We were thoroughly stuffed, but adamant we had got our money's worth, free tea, coffee and juice was included too. Once we had that, we got pool ready and walked over to the MGM Grand, we used their pool because ours was under construction. The MGM casino was even bigger than ours, as far as you could see there were slot machines and poker tables. We walked through the MGM for what seemed like an hour to get to their pool area. It was worth it, the place was paradise, a lazy river, 4 pools and bars everywhere, we managed to get a sunbed and sunbathe for a bit, and we went through the lazy river together. Marie's first experience, she had a lot of fun. Except for the water spouts located throughout the river, they got her hair wet. Anyway after a couple of hours, we went back to our hotel for lunch, as it was a free, and a buffet. I had a fillet of beef with all the trimmings vegetable wise and mash potato. Also gravy, lots of gravy. Then we went back again to the MGM that afternoon. We had run out of sun cream so we had to buy some for the 32 degree heat, in the MGM, and it was extortionate. So to make myself feel better I bought a bucket of beers and enjoyed those. A couple near us left us their rubber ring and so I took that round the river a few times with my beer, and even got cheersed a few times. I was thoroughly enjoying myself. After that we left to go back to our hotel and get changed and showered for tonight. We were having dinner and then we were going on a helicopter tour of the strip. I was pretty nervous, but we arrived at the place and checked in for our flight, we had a glass of champagne and relaxed playing connect 4 for a bit, and I got thrashed, I didn't know I was so bad at connect 4. Anyway, we got our flight called out, and we went outside to board our helicopter, and we were flying with a couple who had just married, so we passed on our congratulations. We had a photo with the helicopter and then set off. Both of us had never been in a helicopter, and we put the headsets on and got going. It was brilliant, we could see all the lights over the strip and the view was something else. We took videos and photos but not with a flash, that wasn't allowed. But we both barely said anything for the entire tour, we were gobsmacked. After we had taken enough photos for a portfolio, we had set down and finished. It was honestly a great experience. After that we drove back to the hotel and decided to go for a walk down the strip. We walked down to the Bellagio to watch the fountain show, and stayed there for a while watching it to the backdrop of different songs. We saw planet Hollywood and also one of the newer hotels, the Aria, and all the hotels were huge, packed with shopping centres, casinos and restaurants. I didn't want to leave Vegas at all, leaving tomorrow was not something I was looking forward to. Anyway, once we got back to the hotel, I tried my hand at the slots again and went on the walking dead one, had a few wins but still ended up down, the lady brought me a vodka though which was nice. After a while it was nearly 1:30 in the morning so we headed back upstairs to bed. One of the best days so far.
