So, continuing from the 12th - we arrived to a very busy Bangkok city and got dropped of only a 'short' walk from Koahsan Road - or so our mini van driver told us! We walked along for 20 minutes until we finally arrived at Koahsan. To set the seen, we had all our bags hoping not to get wet and had managed to get this far, fairly dry. As we approached Koahsan Road our faces dropped as it became a mass crowd of soaking wet, flour covered, people. Unfortunately we had booked a room just off the centre of Koahsan and the only way we could find to get to it was through the crowd - not one inch of us or our bags was dry by the time we had reached our room. Let's just say Songkran isn't fun with all your belongings on your back! Finally checked in, we changed into some older clothes and headed out to join the fun - and it was definitely fun! We grabbed two of the biggest super soakers we could get and waged war in everyone else! This is by far the craziest thing ever, thousands of people squashed through 3 main streets all armed with water pistols and buckets of flour! We grabbed some dinner from 7eleven and headed back for an early night! Tomorrow the battle continues!
