Today we decided to just chill out by the pool and generally not do a lot. We took a walk to try and get our bearings and got lost! Luckily we found a costs coffee and sat and had some iced latte and a panini! We retraced our selves and slept by the pool until 3:30. We met up with Pat, Jen and the tuk tuk driver from last night to sort out our trip for tonight and tomorrow. Price agreed we set off for the Angkor wat complex, we brought our tickets and headed for Phnom Bekheng - once there we walked up the long track that lead up the mountain taking pictures at the various tourist filled view points. Once up at the top we walked around the ruins for a bit and went to get a spot I top for the sunset, unfortunetly we didn't read the sign telling us it closes at 5:30, this was at 5:39. This caused a lot of angry tourists, where we accepted it was our own fault - however some others decided to barge past the guards only to be stopped on the stairs, this gave us some brief entertainment. We walked to to the other view point and watched the sunset there! After this we headed home and out to pub street for some food, where we had some local Khmer curries at a lovely restraunt near the night market. This was made better as our waiter was studying tourism and gave us tonnes of information about the local area, he then finished off by making us oragami with a few if the local notes! Quality day and evening - tomorrow we have to get up at 4am to get to Angkor Wat for sunrise!
